Washington 2nd graders learned about the artist Kandinsky. We studied his abstract pieces and looked at the types of lines and shapes you can find in his work. Students pointed out different qualities that make a piece abstract. Each student then created their own abstract masterpiece while also tackling color mixing. I love how these turned out!
